The Five First Saturdays Of Reparation To The Immaculate Heart
The requirements for the fulfillment of the Five First Saturdays Devotion are:
1. Confession (May be made 8 days before or after the Saturday)
2. Receive Holy Communion
3. Recite 5 decades of the Rosary
4. Meditate of the Mysteries of the Rosary for 15 minutes
5. The above exercise should be performed on the five first saturdays of five cosecutive months with the intention of making reparation to the Immaculat Heart of Mary.
On February 15, 1926, the Child Jesus said to Sr Lucia concerning the devotion of the five first Saturdays:
" ...it is true my daughter, that many souls begin the five first Saturdays, but few finish, and those who do complete them, do so in order to receive the graces that are promised thereby. It would please me more if they did five with fervour and with the intention of making reparartion to the Heart of your Immaculate Mother, than if they done fifteen in a tepid and indifferent manner..."
The five blasphemies against the Immaculate Heart which are the reason for the 5 first Saturdays devotion:
In 1930, Our Lord revealed to Sr Lucia that there are five ways in which people offend and blaspheme against the Immaculate Heart of Mary, and it is because of these blasphemies that God has given us the devotion of the Five first Saturdays.
The blasphemies are:
1. Against Her Immaculate Conception
2. Against Her Perpetual Virginity
3. Against the Divine Maternity, while refusing to receive Her as the Mother fo Mankind.
4. By those who publicly implant in the hearts of children, indifference, disrespect and even hate against Her Immaculate Mother
5. By those who insult Her in Her sacred images.
This is a very important element of the Fatima message and we urge all who read this to ask God to give them the grace to practice this devotion with renewed fervour.
